| The TOC file is only needed for TomTom Home so ignore it, does the device boot up using the new card then yet? - Mike |

TOMTOM are having problems with the Version 7 upgrade......Im using thte SD card supplied with the tomtom and after doing the Version 7 upgade i just get the splash screen. after speaking to tomtom and going though trying to relod version 6 unsucsessfully. i am having to send the deive back to tomtom for a repair........so it probablt is not anything to do with the card itself.....

found it !!!!!!
Version 7 does not like the traffic reporting from version 6...
Delete the traffic.* files from the map directory  i took me a couple of hours deleting and moving files.......but that did it for me.....if i put the files back....its locks at splash screen...
then let TTHome update traffic info |

I have experienced the same problem soon after the update to 7.12.
After 2 weeks of struggle, I succeeded to fix my TomTom XL One Europe again. The method was:
1. Format TomTom XL from Windows.
2. Install map, voice, software(6.593)
http://62.250.16.51/customers/DH/6.593UpdateONEXLonly.zip
Then my TomTom started working once again.
According to TomTom, the TomTom home installed wrong update.
It just made me suspicious about TomTom update.
Hope you can fix the problem as soon as possible.
