Hi Guys,

Bought an One XL about a week ago. Was working fine and having alot of joy with not getting lost. I then decided to hook it up to Tom Tom Home where I proceeded to download updates including speed camera updates from the official site (I had a promotion code).

Anyway I thought everything went swimmingly, until I rebooted my tomtom I get a picture of an SD card with a red cross through it. Ive tried to restore from a back up but havent had any luck. Anyone have any ideas how I can fix this please.

Cheers

Jalz

Will test tomrrow, and also buy another card to make a backup of.

Suggest you DON'T use Home to make the backup. Copy and paste everything using Windows copy and paste (full details are in the FAQs at the top of this forum).
You don't actually need to buy a card for your backup, just copying to somewhere safe on your PC is sufficient.
If you HAVE got another card, you can keep it in the car on long journeys, just in case (but I reckon most problems happen when people have the unit connected to their PCs!).
