But Edingburgh is further West than Manchester or Bristol! But I don't want to start an argument Very Happy

But you'll also notice that Dennis hasn't had a chance to drop a line from the hotel. I think Vera must have put her foot down hard this time as there hasn't been a peep!

Who's been a naughty boy then? Twisted Evil

Who mentioned Hotels??
If anyone is interested Dennis is enjoying his trip as I have spoken to him twice in the last week, first time for him to report my attempt at a Corfu map on his 710 didn't work too well in the central country area, the second time for me to confirm the cock-up I made creating the map tiles.

If he does get access to e-mail / internet while on holiday I have corrected the error and sent out a new set of map tiles that do / will work Embarassed - Mike

Perhaps the Corfu internet cafe has a sign saying "No Bears Allowed" and he'd rather be sitting with his Amstel than talk to us..

DIY Mapping! how cool. Do you use chalk or crayons? And while you're at it, I think the Junction of the M3-M25 needs a little updating, new layout an' all that! Wink

For DIY mapping you first need a copyright free map, they do exist and can be found on the internet, then you chop it up into smaller sections, adjust the image size to match the device before creating a config file that details the top left corner and bottom right corner in Lat/ Long of each map image.
Install Off Road Navigator from Here and use it to display your present position on the map tile, it works very well when you don't mess up the image conversion (all credit for the application goes to Roussillat) - you obviously don't get any navigation prompts or instructions but in use it can be quite handy just to see your position displayed on the device realtive to a map - its easier than reverting back to paper maps - Mike

Don't be so modest now - we know that all you're trying to do is show that Audi drivers have a sense of humour Laughing

My own car doesn't have cruise control, but my work one does (Merc). In a built up area, I sometimes knock it on, so I know I am at 30 (not 31 or 29). I don't have to stop anyone, as very few folk want to overtake in case they get pulled over. Without having to concentrate on speed, I can glance about for mobile users. They get right up my nose, so do the ones who hold their phone below window height, texting away. Their head bobbing up and down is a big giveaway.

You sure that they are texting??...... "head bobbing up & down" Embarassed
I've had CC in my car(s) for years. Call me a Shandy Sipping Wendy (PLEASE!!) but with knackered achiles tendons (the last time playing rounders {not joking}with the lads from the dojo) it's a must, especially on long journeys- or where you run the risk of exceeding the posted limit.
A DSG box might be on the cards next too.
