POIs are only as good as the last update.
This especially true for petrol stations and carparks which seem to come and go quite frequently.
Have used these before and ended up at what clearly was a petrol station forecourt a year or so ago, with barely enough petrol to get to the next POI....luckily found a unmarked garage before getting out to push.
So please add a date of last update and even better a confidence level / commentary
thoughts? |

Dates have been shown adjacent to the Subcategory name from day one of the database (thanks are due to Lutz). So if you look at Parking under Transport you will see the date 2007-09-19 which shows that it was updated today _________________ Various TomToms, Garmin eTrex Legend, GPSMAP 60CSx, Oregon 550t, Forerunner 405 |

Although an update date is not the same as a "confidence rating".
You could have a petrol stations file with only 10 entries (I know yours is a lot better than that!). If someone added an 11th entry so the file was now dated 'today' it still wouldn't mean it was any good.. if you get my drift?
Also, in this case its probably harder to get incorrect entries taken out than it is to get new ones put in. It's just up to EVERYONE to keep submitting those corrections! |

... and bear in mind that if a POI is deleted, the date on the category isn't necessarily updated (as pointed out here). I'm not sure whether this problem has been investigated yet. |
