Is there a firmware problem with Nokia N73

I have a new N73 with TomTom Navigator 6. First thing I did was update the firmware (V4.0726.2.0.1) but now it cannot communicate with the TomTom gps receiver despite being successfully paired. I notice this problem is widespread:

Does anyone have any suggestions?
How do I roll back a firmware update?
