In addition to removing your GPS from an unattended car, it is also worth bearing in mind not to make your home address too obvious.

Thieves who stole a GPS and keys from a car at Alton Towers then went to the "Home" address and proceeded to steal a £20,000 car:

Sorry

I must learn to read
I must learn to read
I must learn to read Embarassed

Edited to say: in my defence, your honour, I was distracted whilst writing the above post and think that the other one slipped in when I was in the process of compiling and submitting it - the times are fairly close together.

I guess if people are so silly as to put their whole address into the Home setting they are asking for trouble.

Surely this is the same as them driving to Alton Towers with their Gas Bill left on the dashboard with full address showing?

I wonder if the theives knocked on the door first when they got there, the lady of the house may of been home.

Maybe some people are so dumb and they rely on their GPS so much that they wouldn't be able to find their way home from a few yards up the road

Surely this is a double edged sword!

If you get your Sat Nav knicked, a quick phone call to your neighbours and get some one to watch your house....

I'll leave the rest up to your imagination.

You might even get your Sat Nav back.
