Did you switch it on (the GO300)?

Uninstall device and plug it into a different USB hole?
Try it on your best mate's computer?
Borrow your best mate's USB lead?
Borrow your best mate's GO300 to try on your PC?
Swear at the wretched thing?

Clarify, please?
Is that - take SD card out of GO300, connect GO300 and it bubbles "installed new hardware, your new hardware is ready" (or something).

If you then put SD card into GO300 and plug in, you get the device error?

If so, that sounds like the first operation merely connects the USB driver/hub or whatever that is - you wouldn't see anything under My Computer because all you've got there is a cable and the GO (but with no "drive" - SD card - in it).

Second operation will be a dud SD card. Have you been switching off or disconnecting from computer without waiting for it to stop doing something?

NOW TELL ME you've got so many copies of the SD card on your PC that you laugh at SD card problems and simply wipe the card and copy one of your backup copies onto it. Wink

Haven't got a card reader then? Haven't you got ANY mates at all? - put it in their card reader and delete everything - some people would have you reformat it, but I'm not clever enough to answer what format when you come back and ask that one (there's FAT, FAT16 and FAT32, I think, but I take that as an insult, although they don't seem to have one for my age yet).

Pretty sure it's FAT32 Dennis. Don't think FAT64 for old folk has been invented yet. Wink

It's what they do to P.. you off. Every now and then, my D drive with all my Tom Tom stuff on it just dies. After many reboots it eventually comes back again, but I've had enough and have got a new one to make a third and transferred everything to it (and copied everything to both my external Hard Disks). I'm up to Drive M: at last count.

If you're a whizz, open up the PC and check to see all the thingies are pushed fully into their sockets in case the USB thingy has moved a bit loose.

FAT64 isn't old enough.
