TomTom ONE help, Freezes on welcome screen.

Hi,

I've had a look about i couldn't find a specific help forum, so sorry mods if this is the wrong place.

I have a Tomtom ONE V2 and all was well until yesterday, i turned it on and it gets to the ownership screen, i tap continue then it constantly reboots. I've tried to reset it using a paper clip as suggested elsewhere on the forum no joy.

When i connect it to the pc it can be seen but i cannot update anything to it and also the "connect to computer screen" isn't show.

Any help much appriciated. Has anyone seen this problem before?

Try taking the SD Card out, then re-inserting, to see if that clears it. Check that the Card contacts are clean.

You say that 'it can be seen' when connected to the PC. Do you mean that you can 'see' the Files on the Card with Explorer?

Do you have a Day 1 Full Backup? Preferably done with Explorer.

If so, you could try copying the files that have the name system in them, on to the SD Card. From memory there are 3 of them.

Forgot to ask, which Software version are you using?
