oh and i did have enough space, sr so i thought, the tomtom was showing 7.4 gig and my hard drive was showing 9.5 gig spare. not sure why it filled it up.

Do you only have the one hard drive, as maybe what you was copying was also copied into the page memory on your hard drive too

DOA is it was broken when you got it and you know nothing else about it other then it did not work

From the horror stories i've heard about Pixmania on here I would suggest you may want to call TomTom customer services and see if they can send you a recovery disc.

From the sounds of it Pixmania take weeks to respond to returns and they do tend to check and test all "faulty" items so they will probably be able to tell what has happened.

Sometimes it pays to be honest :-)

Play dumb, say it is 3 days old and won't work. Can you make a copy of the TomTom by Burning it straight onto a CD, you won't use any space on your hard disc then.

i dont think a cd will be big enough, my 910 did have about 7.5 gig on it before i started
