"Windows Explorer Backup" without Windows.

I am getting my hands on my new 720 tonight (first TomTom/SatNav for me so expect a few posts by me!).

Everyone seems to emphasis the importance of doing a backup using Windows Explorer rather than with TomTom Home. I wonder where this leaves Mac users? Can I do the backup using the Finder and is this equivalent to a Windows Explorer back-up?

Yes of course. We only keep referring to it as a "Windows Explorer backup" because Windows is what most people will have (and because we know it winds up Mac users! , but that's another story!)

Finder will do exactly the same job. All that is needed is a complete copy of EVERYTHING that is on the TomTom flash memory (or SD card for other models).

TomTom's "Home" utility has a habit of leaving bits out of its backups ("to save time!")
