fortuna clip on--power supply

Hello

Does anyone know if the american charger that comes with the uk fortuna clip on will work in france?? do the americans and the french have the same type of power supply??

If it does work can i use it in france to charge my ipaq 2210??

Same with the fortuna car adapter,can that charge an ipaq????

Or would buying one of those travel plugs and plugging the british adapter in work
You see im going to france by coach/ferry and want to use my ipaq to watch films to pass the time ,but when i get there it'll need charging.

Sorry this post is all over the shop but it is 4am 8O

According to our comparison database (http://pocketgpsworld.com/gpshardware.php) the Fortuna has a standard 5V power input. That means any 5V power supply will do (it may even have the same plug as the PocketPC).

You will have to check the description on your power supply if it supports 110 to 240 Volts. And obviously you need a plug adapter - the plugs are vastly different in those countries.

The car charger will work well on either side of the pond (until they start equipping some cars with 48 V power networks)
