When will these guys write code/build devices that dont require a support group like this to make work?

Home on my laptop works a treat.

Home on work PC installs (i have admin rights) and looks at 910, then says it cant find it, even though it detected it to start with.

I'm not normally a violent man, but i can see this friggin unit going through a window before long

Hmm. Did you need a support group to get it to work at home?

I would check with your companys IT / Systems Admin Team that USB devices aren't somehow disabled on the work PCs. Many companies block the use of USB pen drives, iPods and other USB type devices on their PC as they are any easy way to a) infect PCs / network b) carry out large numbers of company documents on a very small device. Whilst the device may initially be installed once a drive of any type is discovered it may then be blocked / disabled.

edit for spelling

I am the admin team ;)

If i click on device tab, i get option to disconnect

If i click on "my device" at bottom of screen i get given choice to disconnect 910

If i look at top right, it says how much disk is used.

If i go to windows explorer I can look around its hard drive,

But if i have the audacity to click on My Go 910 it says im not connected...

I did get it to work at home, but thats not the point. I should be able to connect to any PC and get it to work, esp if windows itself can see it.

Im sorry, but having paid 470 quid for this device along with a TMC antenna that can best be described as hit and miss, i get a little bit narked that i have to come on here to find out how to get it to work.

Take the manual for instance? Why did TT bother producing that waste of paper?

Normally HOME has to download a DLL File for the My GO 910 to work, and to do that it needs to be connected to TTs Website.
