Upgrade Regional to Western Europe?

I'm thinking about getting a TomTom One XL. The GB only version is cheaper than the Europe version for the obvious reason that it only has the maps for GB on it. Would it be possible to purchase the maps for western Europe at a later date? Is it just a case of getting a bigger SD card to store the maps on or is there a reason the europe maps wouldn't work on the GB unit?

I think the Europe version is about £30 dearer than the GB. That's got to be cheaper than buying GB, then later having to buy a both a Europe map AND a larger SD card.

Bear in mind, the new Tom Tom 520 and 720 have just started shipping, so other models may come down in price very soon. Give it a month, maybe and they'll almost be throwing them at you for nothing.
