TomTom 300 map problem

I recently bought a TomTom Go 300 from a dealer on ebay, which was supposed to be refurbished, but when I opened it, it did not have an SD card. They say it was there, TomTom go said it should be there, now I am stuck with no maps. I have read that I can download a file from newsgroups called 'USA and Canada v675.1409' & it should contain the maps & and unlocking tool where I can use my registration card that I got with my TomTom to activate this map & put it on a blank SD card to work with my TomTom. I did download this file, but after unzipping, I do not see the unlocking tool in the contents. Does anyone have info on this procedure ? I really need help. I just got ripped off by either TomTom or the dealer & just want my maps so I can use this thing. I need it for tomorrow.

Sorry but discussion of illegal software unlockers and maps from dubious sources is against the forum rules, you will need more than just a map though if you are starting from scratch, for a start the voice and application will be missing.
You could purchase a map from TomTom or send the device back for a refund - Mike
