So how do you run I-Go from it??
I have been using I-Go on my TyTN and love it, this would be ideal for £90 if I can transfer my I-Go card and get it running fully.
I know it looks pretty much the same but it seems the maps are old from reading the threads. |

i edited the addon txt file to enable the extra icons.
from there i can run the I-GO software from the sd card within windows using windows explorer but as i have already said the screen orientation is the wrong way round.
Navigate = "", "\\Flash Disk\\myguide\\myguide.exe"
Explorer = "", "\\Windows\\Explorer.exe"
Multimedia = "", "\\Flash Disk\\Xmovie\\xmovie"" |

There is an option somewhere in I-Go to rotate the screen, so you should be able to get it looking right.
Can you get the unit to boot straight into windows?? I put i-go in my start up folder so it booted straight away on my TyTN. |

In fact can you edit the Navigation button to load I-Go instead??
Navigate = "", "\\Windows\\program files\\igo\\igo.exe"
Or where ever it is located?? |

Hi norris26,
I had the same problem with the igo software on myguide 3100. You need to change the sys.txt file to have the following in it. Best bet is to create a copy of the existing one, delete the information and add the following.
Cheers,
Paul.
[device]
type="CARPOINTA1000"
[debug]
earth=0
slowsim=1
loop_sim=1
[interface]
landscape=1
show_zoombar=1 |

Thanks to everyone for all their help. I deleted all the myguide stuff of the satnav and replaced it with the Igo software. It was then just a matter of editing all the text files with the correct paths to run it and look for the maps on the sd card. |

I've had a response to my email to suport
Quote: | if the active sync (you need the new versioin from the internet active sync 4.5) is not working properly, it is much better that you read your SD Card via a Card Reader, you just need to read your SD-Card you dont need the device.
About a new update or an upgrade - sorry, there are none of them avaiable at the moment.
Kind regards

I just purchased one of these from eBuyer and I've read through all the posts (several times), I've edited the file addons.txt on the SD card and the file IGOPATH.txt in the Flash Drive folder but whenever I turn the machine on (or even do a reset) all I get is the same two buttons "Navigate" and "Settings" on the front screen.
Note : I have had the unit plugged in to my PC when I do this...
Am I doing something wrong - or can someone give me a hint please?
Cheers

Hello!
All this talk of running the Igo software on the MyGuide 3100- I take it that the purpose of this is to make use of map updates?
Also, where does one get the igo software in the first place?
