The route summary screen can be set to close automatically after 10 secs.
Traffic can be disabled from the second screen when you press the right hand traffic info bar.

Cheers
Paul

You're beginning to worry me now, Paul. It's getting to sound like I've got to RTFM before I can drive off with it. Tell me it aint so? I've had the GO700 CD on the corner of my PC desk for about 18 months now with a vague insincere promise to load the manual before it dissolves in the dust (figuratively speaking, of course - Vera doesn't allow dust Twisted Evil ).

Last months toy was a Nokia N95 (great phone - useless built in SatNav - I just wanted the 5MP camera)

If anyone can confirm that the N95 works with the 720 then you may just save me from an ear-bashing from the better half!

It only lists up to the Nokia N93 on the TT website but I understand that not all compatiable phones are listed.

Anyone know yet?

Damn!

The Dixon's website might have brought the date of the 720 forward by a day but they've just set the date for the 520 back by a week! This is despite the tomtom website saying the new GO are in the shops!

DennisN, sorry but can you explain RTFM for those of us who are not up on technical language. If you could put that into plain English that would be great.

Oh we all seem to be grown men AND women on hear, we’re not really sad like my mate just stated are we?

Lol, RTFM is an abbreviation for the phrase 'Read the fxxxing manual'

No offence intended.

So does this mean Darren can now publish the review?

Also can someone upload the user guide so that I can read it before mine arrives.

Thanks

Think Currys and Dixons still updating their websites as it's gone back to 02/08/07 again. Rolling Eyes

DennisN,

Please don't be alarm there is no need to RTFM...yet, I have only looked at it very briefly, which told me that in the foreign language was asking me if I wanted to connect the 720 to the PC.

I like that you can set the 720 to power down when it looses power, but it does not (yet) switch itself on when I connect power, which I like on the 910.

Having done a very brief trial not on the motorway, the handfree phone is better than the 910.

I really like the FM transmitter, it worked very well on 107.0. I also tried it on 93.4 (Radio 4) and the 720 took over, and I could only very occasionally hear Radio 4. The sound over the FM transmitter was crystal clear.

Cheers
Paul

Ordered my 720 from Easy Devices yesterday. Turned up this morning!!

Unit seems great in the short play I have had.

I have paired it with my Sony K800i and made and received a call with no problems in the car. Address book synced over great.

I now need speed cameras. What's the best way to go - should I buy the TomTom subscription or is the PocketGPSWorld version better? Does it work with the 720?

Cheers,
Kenny
