Hi Folks,

I wonder if anyone can help me with a little problem I'm having with my iPAQ...

I recently installed the HP ROM update 1.21.32 WWE on my iPAQ hw6515c running Windows CE 4.21. I have a problem with the internal A-GPS - the tomtom software can't find it, and a third party solution can connect but is disconnected after a few seconds. I've tried reseting the A-GPS, a soft reset of the iPAQ and a hard reset, all to no avail. Any suggestions?

It's as if on connection the device doesn't wake up (as it used to) - pre-update the little spinning disc in the centre of the screen would come up when it was called and the tomtom software would switch from 'No GPS found!' to 'Signal lost X mins ago' until it worked out where it was.

I read various bits about interim GPS registry settings, but they don't appear when I use a registry editor. Any suggestions? I might just roll back to the previous rom...

Many thanks,

Ben

Hi Lutz,

Thanks for your interest. I discovered last night that the problem was restoring my personal data from the previous rom version - this overwrote something important. Doing a hard reset without restoring makes the device work fine!

Thanks,

Ben
