Over the weekend I cracked the screen on my Nuvi 350. When I put it away in the center console, I must’ve shut it more forcefully than usual Sad My question is: Do you of anyone who repairs these devices? I tried searching other websites, including the Garmin site, but I was unsuccessful. I would much prefer to spend the money to repair my Nuvi than shell out the money for a new one. Please help!! Thank you!!

Ouch - expensive mistake Crying or Very sad

I would think that only GARMIN would be able to repair the damage. Is it just the screen or the screen and the touch sensitive overlay? GARMIN support should be your first place to call.

Also - it may cost more to repair than to buy a new one - it's a more labour-intensive process than the heavily automated initial build of the unit.

Unfortunatly, I believe that it is both. The display is mostly fine, but it does not recognize touch near the crack. The unit still navigates properly (if you can enter the destination that is Sad ). I plan on calling garmin again today, so we'll see what can be done.

Garmin seem to operate a fixed repair cost for certain units / problems, and I think you will find this is cheaper than buying a new unit. You may also find that instead of repairing it, Garmin may choose to provide you a new unit for the repair fee.
