If they're like me, they're about to go to bed!!

TT Home has three panels - Left, Centre and Right. Left panel is entitled "Options". Centre panel contains lists of everything you've downloaded, for example that new map v675. To install that map, you had to select its checkbox alongside it, then click on "Install". The right side panel only contains anything when you have connected your device to the computer by the USB cable, when it shows what you have on your device.

In theory, you should be able to download that map from TT again, which should include the Zipcode files, so try it, then install the postal codes.

Sorry to abandon you, but I have to get up in the morning and won't be back until later tomorrow now.

Probably.
Try to download again as Dennis suggests. The zip file DOES come with the map, but as a seperate file.
If it doesn't appear, get onto TomTom by phone and ask where it is.

I would find the present one on my computer first, copy it to somewhere else, then try deleting and getting Home to download it again. I've never had to push that envelope myself, so I'm not sure what happens. I do know if you delete the current software version from Home it will download it again though.

You can only Download it if the Device is connected to the PC. Then it will see the new Map on the Device and will not list it as an Update.

It's the same with the Software Updates. It doesn't look at what the PC has on the Hard Drive, but at what the Device has on it.

To be Extra Safe do another Full Backup. Do one at each stage of any Change.

Look on it as a System Restore.
