product code

how can i find my product code i have a 910 and don't remeber getting a card with any numbers on like i did with my 300

On the TomTom site, they say,

In TomTom HOME, select Explore from the Options menu, then double-click on the downloadable map.
On the 'productcode card' in your TomTom box;
In your CD jewel case, behind your CD;
In your CD box, behind CD 2;
On your My Account - My Products page.

Well the 'clicking on the map in tomtom home' thing doesn't work for me. The product code line they show on the picture on their site just doesn't exist. And there is no 'my account - my product' page on their site. I put my product code card in a safe place and haven't found it since...!

Am I stuffed, or can it be retrieved from tomtom customer service?

I have an old version one by the way!

The good news is that you will probably never need the product code anyway.

(Why does TomTom insist on calling it the 'product' code, a quite vague term, when it is actually the 'map' code?)

Well it is visible in the centre section, but the product code line is totally missing!

If I don't need it, I shall stop panicking! ;)
