|
|
Hi everyone,
I have recently bought a TT730T and as always with a new toy, want to tinker with Mapshare.
Not just to play about with it, but to extend the road where I live as house numbers only go to 72, but an extention was built to the road and houses now go to over 100, but after reading many ways how to use and amend Mapshare, I am still not able to get it to change.
If anyone has "Plain English" terms for idiots like me, I would be really grateful. If you want to send it direct, my email is kevwatson15@btinternet.com
Thanks again. |

You can extend (or add) a road but it will only get sent to TomTom; it won't appear on your device. Also, you can only make a straight-line addition and one end has to be on an existing road. _________________ Tim |

Just to add to what Tim rightly says, and Andy and I think Mike, often remind new users, to help them out...
...Only what you see on the "First Page" of menu options on your device, under Correct a Map Error, are the type of corrections that have an impact 'there and then' on your own device.
Anything added from Page 2 of the list of different correction types, are simply reported back to TT for consideration perhaps, at some future later date.
Hope that helps. |

Not true any more Shademehr.
With v8 software the no left/right turn and the road speed limit corrections are also implemented straight away. |

On my device, the turn and speed changes are on P1, so I'd say "Still true" as opposed to "Not true". _________________ Tim |

But 'Add missing POI' and 'Edit POI' are on the second page on the 720 with app 8.010, and they're implemented on your own device straight away. So, unless it's different on the x30, I'd agree with Andy_P and say "Not true". _________________ Anita

OK, I concede, but only because it's you. _________________ Tim |

I'd rather you conceded because I'm right, Tim! _________________ Anita

Yes, you are right, but your reason for agreeing with Andy isn't. _________________ Tim |

But we're all agreed that I was wrong (a bit) and so was Shad (a bit)? |

No it doesn't!

Whereas with the latest application two items from Page 2 do have an immediate impact on your own device. _________________ Anita

OK, you're all wrong - the subject is somewhere over there
I don't like MapShare because it keeps overwriting my corrections, so I'm now only using it for my own consumption and not sharing my corrections just to have them overwritten. _________________ Andy
