Maphshare - disappointing?

If it wasn't for the fact that TomTom are masters at failing to live up to their promises, I'd be very tempted to move up to their new range of PNDs because of the Map Share functionality.

However, it's possible that this too is not all it's cracked up to be. Take a look at this.

too behonest what were you expecting to completely be able to edit a map. that would never have been allow under TA's licence.

personally i think some people have got a little to excited about the capabillites of map share. and map updates will always be a way for any navigation company to have income and user editable maps i dont think will ever be availble on mainstream gps products. Tomtoms map updates are some of the cheepest within the industry.

the ability to unblock a road, move a poi and rename roads are all steps in the right direction but i dont think mapshare will go very far beyond minor changes to maps.
