I have loaded a new map in my Tom Tom One. Unfortunately my favourites are still in the previous map and have started to create a new favourites list in my new map config (*.cfg).

My last question received an answer that showed how I can copy the *.cfg file from one map to the other. This is fine if I want to overwrite the existing config file. My problem is that I just want to copy favourites from one config file and place into the new one. I started to create favourites in my new map which I do not want to lose. I just want to copy those I need from my previous map *.cfg file. Can anyone tell me if this can be done. I have had no success in obtainig a program which will enable me to read and edit cfg files. Unfortunately my map references have been strored using a GPS reference to POI.

Thanks

Set up a new PoI group, call it what you like - "Favs"? - and copy all your favourites to it. Then overwrite your Favourites. Then copy these into the same PoI category.

After that just use your new PoI category instead of Favourites. You can then save and copy the .ov2 file that you have created. View it on your PC.

You could copy the whole lot back to Favourites, but it's not nearly as flexible.

And there is a limit on how many Favourites you can have. 48 I think.
