Absolutley, but even with the tacho it is not easy to prove your innocence.
For example you come off a dual carriageway doing 65mph onto a 40mph, you reduce speed to 40mph and get flashed at 22.50hrs and your tacho is reading 22.49hrs that would be hard to prove I would imagine.
Never been in that situation so I am just guessing. _________________ Tomtom Go730T

Joking aside, that might not be as silly as it sounds
For some reason a coach will trigger certain cameras when well within the limit. This is allegedly because of the shape and size of the vehicle, we were once told when I contested a 'flash' that it was probably because the air con pods on top of the coach had set it off, it was a common occurrence apparently, so it was a "not guilty m'lord" |
oooooh, so you have been guilty of triggering a speed camera
I'm going to plead ignorance on this one because I just fail to understand why air con pods on top of a coach should trigger a speed camera.
....this doesn't mean that I'm accusing anybody of speeding
Surely, the shape, size and weight of vehicles should be included in the evaluation of these cameras.
Alternatively, perhaps we should be questionning whether vehicle colour has an effect on laser or radar reflections when considering that Stealth fighters require a coat of special paint in addition to their whacky shapes _________________ Andy

The evidence is on your side as it is the police who would have to prove that the difference put you in the right place at the right time. Crown P. would drop it if you contested the case. (Probably )

You ask questions
People give you answers
You are older and wiser (unless some gives you the wrong answer )
...that's how it works _________________ Andy

You are never too old to learn...

That would depend upon the question.

So much for asking a simple question.
This thread was only started as another rant by Stargate and these cameras have been covered elsewhere anyway, so this thread should have been locked long ago if it's simply a case of keeping to the topic and not being repetative. _________________ Andy
