As you know, on certain roads different classes of vehicles have different speed limits. The best example being a single carriage-way (with no other limits or street lights) where cars and motorbikes can do 60 mph. Cars that are towing, buses and coaches, and goods vehicles less than 7½ tonnes can do 50 mph. Goods vehicles over 7½ tonnes can only do 40 mph. Please see the Highway Code for further information

There are some sensor cameras that dependant on height (and possibly wheelbase) attempt to determine the class of vehicle. If a coach has air con pods then it might trick a camera into thinking that the coach was Goods vehicles over 7½ tonnes)
