Can some kind person assist me please since this problem has even defeated Garmins' customer helpline yesterday:

I am new to this unit, having used it for some 4 weeks or so.
About a week back the unit stopped alerting me to Cameras, even permanent ones which have been in place for several years. I have noticed occasional alert for 30 zone but nothing consistent. I have now reloaded Pocket GPS pois 3 times but to no avail.
The Route finder and searches along with the trip are all working perfectly.

Checking settings; GPS mode is normal and proximity alarms are on.
If I check Custom POIs , three entries are showing:
All Catagories
PocketGPS-UK-pmobile
PocketGPS-uk-sc
If I then select any of the above,numerous entries re listed such as
30-M-6638
40-G-30054
70-F-5472
all with compass bearings.
My software is V 5-50
and City Select Europe V7 c320

I really wold be grateful for some advice since the unit cannot be trusted
in its current mode.

looks like you've installed the GPX files - try again using any of the CSV / POILoader files

Absolutely brilliant, you've cracked it in one.
My pois now show full names of camera type GATSO,pMOBILE,TRUVELO etc.

and...having taken it out for a quick field test.... am pleased to note that the gongs don't stop chiming !!!

I am amazed that the Garmin online customer support didn't recognise the problem...good job they don't carry a premium line!

Anyway thank you again for the great advice.
I really appreciate the help.
