Hello - power died to the I3 this weekend.

Tried it in 2nd car - no go either.

Replaced fuse in the unit (1A rating) still no joy.

Any advice ?

Hi,

No, the light on the power unit does not illuminate - hence I thought it was the in-line fuse at first.

Puzzling !!

er, no. Please read the question again.

Does the USB lead still power the i3 when plugged in?

i.e. does the i3 recieve power when plugged into your PC?

On the other hand

Sometime this happen in my car because of poor / damaged contacts in the ciggy lighter. Have you tried it in another car?

Replacements are avalible - i believe a certain brand of mobile phone charger works but i'm not sure a) which one or b) if that's correct.

Basically establish first if it's the ciggy lighter or the i3 that's the problem.

I can confirm the Motorola V500 charger works with the i3.

Many thanks for the assistance - now sorted with a new lead.

Strange the original garmin one just gave up the ghost - USB connection is fine.
