Hi, as anyone managed to put tomtom 6 on Orange m600. Sorry if this is old news as i am new to gps. The tomtom 6 software is an unused item that came free with my old palm treo 750v running Windows Mobile 5. The M600 also runs Windows Mobile 6 but i cant get the software to install. Can anyone help?
Thanks

Yes TomTom can be installed on the Orange SPV M600. Although it is slow, this is probably the reason why TomTom wont support it.
It also works on the SPV M700
One question though, the SPV m600 comes with WM5 not WM6 ?
I used Tomtom home, it put a file on my memory card, asked me to eject it and reinsert it and then it just installed itself |

Hi, thank you for your reply, what file did you put on the memory card?
Do i have to do something with tomtom home on my desk top first or should the programme autorun when the card is installed in the M600. Please forgive me i am a complete novice at this.
Regards

from memory, you run tomtom home, it should look for devices connected and find the m600 I think it calls it a p300 or something.
You can select download updates and it should show the tomtom 6 application.
If it fails to automatically install it look in your my documents folder, tomtom sub folder I had a file
ttn.ppc.6.030.8320.cab
probably be able to manually copy that file across to your pda and run it from there. |

I ran TT6 on an M600 but the POIs didn't work - so no speed camera warnings. I'm now using an M3100 and all is well. |

Works fine (well) on my M600 - not slow and no problems with POIs etc. I don't know if that's any help given I don't recall doing anything 'special' but it might give you some incentive to keep trying.
