TTGo V2 via Blackberry 8700g on T-Mobile UK

My Blackberry has 4.2.1.85 firmware which is supposed to offer modem functionality over Bluetooth. The setup (after Bluetooth paring) won't complete for me (times out "Checking wireless data settings..") :-(

I'm using

Country: UK
Operator: T-Mobile UK (contract)
APN: general.t-mobile.uk
Username: user
Password: pass (I've also tried 'web')
Automatic IP
Automatic DNS
Dial: *99***1# (I've also tried *99#)
Login script: at+cgdcont=1,"IP","general.t-mobile.uk"

Has anyone got this (8700g and TT GO V2) to work?

This is unique to T-Mobile customisation on that particular Blackberry model,very annoying. No way out AFAIK.

Could be - but the firmware isn't T-Mobile firmware any more...

I think people have had this work with the 8100 Blackberry. Not seen anyone say that have it work with the 8700 yet. I also tried the later 4.2.1.94 firmware in the Blackberry. Didn't help :-(
