i just bought my ipaq 6515 on ebay, so i dont have a manual and the online one is worthless...
i am having a lot of trouble setting up anything that involves gps. All i can do is use the quick gps connection and download some files but i dont know what do do from here. I have recently downloaded google maps on my ipaq which should work with windows pocket pcs with gps. i can view maps with internet connection but cannot get the gps to work.
can anyone help me get started? |

Google Maps only works with WM5 devices.
You need to purchase GPS software (or try Nokia's Smart2Go), and set the GPS to COM7 at 57600 _________________ Lutz

I hope you have better luck with your 6515 than I did, the inbuilt gps receiver was as much use as chopsticks for soup, continually lagging and missing turns. You also have to update the gps file every day of so or it forgets where you are. We went to Coniston water once using Tomtom on it and after a few hours walking including taking sever calls and text messages upon arriving back at the car the unit was dead. _________________ o2 XDA Stellar

haha...
i am having the same problems the battery life is horrible and the gps and internet are incredibly slow... it takes mine about 2 mins to check my imap email account.
i hate to admit it but i wish i had been willing to pay a bit more for the latest ipaq in the 6500 series, i hear they made those problems at least less annoying. |
