I have two mobile camera symbols on my tomtom. One is grey and the other is white. Any idea what the difference is? |

PMobile = Provisional mobile location not yet verified
Mobile = Known location verified where Police cameras can locate
Grey for the first item, white for the second - Mike |

This was confusing me. And I'm not sure who is updating my local cameras sites but the one identified as a Safety Camera spot on the local website is a 'p' and the junction where never in 7 years have I seen a police car sat, never mind with a speed camera is a known!!
The other thing is that this now means another 5 or so poi categories for cameras, that has reduced my other poi capabilities!
Can we not just have the original categories but with improved accuracy?! |

The PMobile cameras were asked for by the site membership so they were included in the download after quite a lengthy debate, you have the option to delete the Pmobile files from the download before you install the POI to the device.
Do you know the ID number of the Pmobile close to your house that doesn't exist and if so have you submitted this error to the site in order to improve the database accuracy - Mike |

Also you can choose not to load this category if you wish.
But Mike's point is extremely important - the accuracy of the database depends upon people reporting not only new 'sightings' but incorrect locations or obviously wrong locations. I don't know the process of removal from the database - but I expect they need more than one report to consider a removal. _________________ Phil |

Rather a sweeping statement there, Mike! "The PMobile cameras were asked for by a small but vocal proportion of the site membership . . . " would be more accurate. _________________ Anita

But the rest of my post stands true - you do have the option to delete them before installation, or use them and check the locations for yourself - if they are valid please submit details via the submissions page for the benefit of all users of the database - Mike |

No slap on the wrist intended, Mike, let alone a hammering on the head!
And the rest of your post does indeed stand true! _________________ Anita
