Apart from the Holux lines, what other BT GPS (Sirf III or MTK) have wired output as well?
Holux models wired output is 38400 which is a pain. We need one with 4800 output.
We are not so much after a BT GPS but a small high performance wired GPS with it own battery. It seems that only BT GPS has its own battery. Other non-BT wired GPS tend to need external power so a BT GPS with wired output fits the bill.

Haicom do devices with SiRF III chips that can have a serial output. For some you have to buy a 'slipper' for the device others come supplied with the correct cables. The 405BT springs to mind - you can get a cable to give you serial NMEA output as well as BlueTooth.

Have a look at http://www.haicom.com.tw/ for info

I would expect that you could lower the speed of the Holux device somehow. The NMEA spec specifically mentions 4800 bps (baud / whatever) for compatibility between devices.

Thank you.
I had a look at Hiacom's site.
It does seem to be suitable.
But it is ugly/big!
Battery life is poor (8 hours).
Seems more expensive than competitors.
But I will certainly look into it if I cannot find any other.
