What are the different firmwares for the nüvi 310 like?

There's a number of firmware updates available in advance of v2.80 which came with my recent nüvi 310.

So...

- Do I upgrade?
- How do I know what the benefits are?
- Which are the "good" updates?
- And which are the bad?
- The latest version is 3.70?

Anything close to the facts would be nice.

I've updated as each new version comes along with no apparent problems.
