I have an Ipaq 5550 which I use at home with a wireless router to browse the web/check email etc. This worked fine with no speed issues until I installed Tomtom 2, at which point the web access slowed right down to a crawl, often stopping altogether.

I have tried the wireless driver update from the HP site with no joy. Is this a known problem that I didn't find when I searched the forum?

Graeme.

I am using this combination with out these problems. Are you sure you are exiting TomTom using the "exit" function rather than the "X" in the top right corner as the "X" does not close the application it runs it in the background.

TomTom and activesynch 3.7.1 do not run well together and can cause slow downs if both active at the same time.

Presumably you've soft reset the Pocket PC (poke the button in the bottom with the stylus without any buttons held down)? This is the equivalent of rebooting a Windows machine.

The symptoms you've described are highly unlikely to be to do with installing TomTom Navigator 2. They sound more likely to be due to low program memory or something simply in need of a restart.

MrT also has a valid point - TomTom Navigator 2 is processor intensive, as is ActiveSync, particularly over a wireless LAN link.
