| If anyone actually purchases one of these HP items and wants to get rid of the cradle, I am looking for one to hold my iPaq 3950 with a CoPilot GPS jacket. I haven't found one similar to the TTG 500 yet. |

I've just gotten this from Expansys:
Dear Customer,
Please be advised, I have just checked the status of your order and we are still awaiting the stock. We do not have an exact date of arrival on this product, however rest assured we are chasing suppliers for the stock and it shouldn’t be too much longer.
We appreciate your patience with this and if there’s anything else we can help you with, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We do apologize for any inconvenience that this delay has caused.

That's a lot different to what they told me, seems like there making it up as they go along:
"Dear sir/madam,
Many thanks for ordering from Expansys,
Your order is due in stock May 14th and the total costs that will be deducted from your card is 134.28 g.b.p ( 108.89 + 20.00 VAT+ 5.39 shipping)
Keep a check on your emails as you will be notified when your order is being dispatched to you. "
I think they are a mushroom company, keep you in the dark and feed you a load of sh*t  |

| They may have a long list of customers waiting for this item to come into stock. People near the top of the list may get one response, while people near the bottom may get another response. They probably cant source enough stock at a time to fulfil all back orders, so giving differing replies to questions is probably the most sensible approach. |

Found some info from another forum after someone phoned Expansys, their phones must be red hot 
"They are waiting on *104* of these things to come into stock - he said that they were meant to have been delivered last Wednesday, but, that they should have been shipped from the supplier on Friday - he said that they would likely be in tomorrow's stock-take, and suggested I phone tomorrow to get an update".
We shall see  |

I've just cancelled my order after the stock due date at Expansys slipped for the 3rd time to 4 days.
I did have a mail that said it should be in on the 17th but have now decided to buy elsewhere.
Handtec are selling it for £165 inc vat and you can get £10 off by using Google checkout, it's also in stock right now.
You might also be able to get £30 back from HP with the promotion mentioned elsewhere in this forum.

Sorry as an rx5935 owner I cannot agree that the mount is ugly or poorly built. It is much , much better than the previous TomTom mount that I had:

With a Fugly dashboard like that, thats the only responce i'd expect from you  jk
That isn't the same mount as i saw in previous post's, or at least you aren't showing us the butt ugly thumbscrew design at the back. |

Thanks for the tip! I've done the same, should arrive tomorrow. Should be able to get the cashback from HP without too much problem, i've got some for a laptop on the way from them too.

I emailed Handtec this morning about the HP promotion. This was their reply...
'We are sorry to confirm that we purchase our items from distribution which makes our customers ineligible for the cashback scheme.' 
Still might be worth a try though... |

Thsat is because I didn't use the windscreen mount which I thought was obvious.
The Navigator like other devices uses a variety of mounting combinations. The one I used was for the vents.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but my point about good build quality still stands. |

Does the mount come with alternative brackets instead of the window mount, or are they optional extras? |
