thanks peasemore

can you also confirm that you copy the files to the sd card (as per http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/uksafetycameras-igo-myguide-oncourse_navigator.php ) and don't need to do anything with the internal memory?

Hey MaFt,

I copied the contents of the .zip to \Flash Disk\MyGuide\POI\SPEEDCAM which I don't think is actually the sd card, I think it's the memory of the unit. The following folders are in view when I open up "explore" from ActiveSync;

Flash Disk
My Documents - contains recent routes
Network - empty
Program Files - empty
Storage Card - (SD Card?) contains maps (\Storage Card\MyGuide\MAPS)
Temp - empty
Windows - contains program files for CE

Not sure if this helps or not.

- Craig.

would it be beneficial for you lot to have a 'consolidated by type' download? i.e. so you can have different icons for each camera type? so you can distinguish between mobile, gatso, redlight etc or do you get some kind of guidance anyway? i know the format has camera type embedded in the data but not sure how igo uses it

Hi to MaFt,

Any news on the above - I basically only want the fixed loactions ... not the mobile ones. I've tried splitting the type 5s from the txt file, but it will takes ages as the types are mixed nearer the end of the file.

Cheers.

Hi, as anyone noticed that the Myguide 3100 does not show any visual alerts when using the Myguide speed camera database. However when using the Igo database there are visual alarts? Unless i have done something wrong.

Also as anyone come across any map updates for the 3100 as my software on the Sd card is dated November 2006.

Thanks

M Hyde

Can you explain what you been by Myguide speed camera database. Do you mean the pocketgps speedcamera database?
The pocket gps speedcam database does give you visual alerts usually in the centre of you screen. You should see the image of a camera displayed plus the speed limit. For example, if the speed limit is 30mph, the visual warning displays 29mph. This remains till you have gone past the camera. For myguide cameras that you have input yourself via POI ,,,add camera, you get a visual alert. All you will see is the speed limit encased in a circle.
