Nuvi310D and Mapsource - Position Difference

You might like to try this!

Select any address on your Nuvi and then in Mapsource select exactly the same address/position, and look at the coordinates.
You will notice that they don't agree. From an OS Map, it appears that the correct one is Mapsource.
I suspect that the Nuvi uses the WGS84 datum, instead of the OSGB, which is not particularly helpful if you want to put a position in as a coordinate, as it will always be about 0.3 mile out.

Interestingly, if you save a waypoint in Mapsource and transfer it to the Nuvi, it appears in the correct position - but with the wrong coordinates.


Is there a way round this, or is it one for a update from Garmin?
