House numbers

When reading up on what kit to buy, my research lead me to believe that Tomtom 2 software had 100% house number recognition. Received my kit yesterday & just playing around with it & it is not the case. Tried to set various places as destinations & probably 2 out of 10 say that no house number available for that street. The streets are residential. Is this the norm, or am I missing something?? Still a great kit though

TomTom's address search facility isn't as good as other companies like Navman's (SmartST Pro V1) and ALK's CoPilot.

You may find using postcode search (add-ons) better providing you know the postcode. Some streets may come under different local districts rather than cities or towns, and house numbers aren't always that accurate.

Thanks for the reply Dave, will download the postcode database as you suggested, only really need them for West Essex & East Herts so the South East one looks good :D
