|
|
I have just tried to install the latest TT software on my original model TT One, but it all seems to have gone pear shaped . Here's what I did...
I installed the TT Home software on my Mac.
TT Home checked for updates, found one, and downloaded it.
There was not quite enough space on the card to install, so I deleted one of the voice files.
Now I could copy the files across using TT Home.
When I re-booted the TT One, I got a message about 'flashing gps firmware' which seemed to work ok (I got a full green progress bar), but then it just sits at 'Please Wait' in six languages with a large hour glass .
Before doing all this, I had done a backup using the TT Home software, and was hoping that I could just use this to restore, but when I tell it to copy back to the TT One, nothing appears to happen . I've also tried manually copying the files to a different SD card, and still no luck (this time I get the 'card with a red cross' screen ).
Is there anything I can do to get my TT One working again?
Many thanks,
Dave. |

Try pressing and holding the reset button down with a pin for thirty seconds, then switch the unit on and report what it does - Mike |

Seems to have made no difference . Out of curiosity, how long should an update take to run, typically? I'm wondering if I just need to leave it for long enough...
Also, roughly how long should a backup restore via Home take? I've had it running on a spare blank card for about 10 minutes now, but although it says 'restoring', there's no progress bar . |

Is it OK to delete the contents of my original card, then use the Home software to restore my backup back on to the card? Also, should I be able to copy the contents of a working original TT card on to another card?
Thanks . |

Panic over, at least it appears to be for now ;). I tried all sorts of file copying on to different cards, none of which seemed to work. But for some reason I was able to do an update using Home again, got the new software but no voices or maps... Managed to pick them up again off the original card. Hopefully it's all working correctly now .
