HP IPAQ 6500 TomTom navigator 6 Maps newbie

Hi Guys

I've recently purchase a HP IPAQ 6500

It came installed with TomTom Navigator 6 which works no problems.

I've installed some new maps on the SD card, but when I go to operate tomtom it says 'no maps found etc etc' and won't proceed any further

Is there a way to have tomtom use the map installed on the SD card?
I've been directed to locate the tomtom map folder and move it to the root of my SD card and thennavigate to switch map in TomTom settings and set new map location as default.
The problem is that every time I open the TomTom it sticks saying 'no maps found...'


Any help would be greatly appreciated.
