Well, good old Tom Tom really are sending out a message to Rider purchasers. They have this week removed the additional bike mount kit from their site. This will be because of the problems, but what about all the mugs that bought the Rider Tom Tom? My bike mount did the usual drilling of contacts thing and eroded the pins on the mount so I needed a new one. No chance and one outlet even told me that they had been on back order since November. I asked Tom Tom last week when they will be available and they just pointed me at their resellers. Hah!
I have now purchased the Garmin Zumo 550 and it's everything that the Rider isn't: Superb!!!
Hand on heart I can say that Tom Tom customer service stinks and I will never purchase another of their products.

If the warranty for TT Rider is the same as its other devices it will be covered for a period of two years so even though you may have given up with it why not send it back for repair and you will at least have a spare device? From what I have read on this forum about its problems TT didn't seem to appreciate how much vibration would affect them when mounted using contact pins it really needs plug in connections but these can be difficult to keep dry in all weathers.
