TT6 and Latest Maps

I've just received today from amazon tt6 maps of Western Europe on DVD, I've just upgraded my phone to a N95 and i'm using my TomTom GPS from my previous version tt5 mobile.

I've just logged on to TomTom and typed my product code into check latest maps section and it's telling me mine is out of date, which sounds about right. Used to buying software then having to download latest patch/version!!.

My version is 6.60 newest is 6.75, question is how do I download latest version?

Is this a free update or is it chargeable?

TomTom map updates are a chargeable item. Unless you really have to have the latest map versions I wouldn't be in too much of a hurry to upgrade your maps. The main problem is that there never appears to be a definitive list of things they have added/removed/fixed in the maps.
