It's the Pocket PC that determines which COM port it is trying to use, not the GPS, so if your Bluetooth Port is COM6, then any device will talk back on COM6 once it's received data.

Hi iceman ,you have a solution for your problem ?

I have just buy a GPS Holux GR-230 black bluetooth s/n 230-344 0451 and
p/n 96019-02
(bought the 10 janury 2004 in France in internet site (i'm french).

I have a PDA "Asus Mypal 620 BT bluetooth" and i have a problem
(you are the support ? in french or in english ?):

see the manual "User's guide aug.01,2003 Holux GR-230 bletooth GPS
receiver) :

The bluetooth manager sees the GPS Holux GR-230 well (manual page 12, chap
5.2 - 2 search bluetooth
device "Holux GR-230" ,
but has the identification Bluetooth, I have well an "HOLUX GR-230",
I put the key (passkey) 6268 as it is
indicated on manuel (manual page 12, chap 5.2 - 3 found the bluetooth device
and enter passkey ) ,
but in the window, there is not button to validate) , I wait approximately
30 seconds,
the next window , I put again 6268, I still await a score of second (20s)
and I have the message :
BTWIZARDProfiles:
the device not offer any service .
Activate any service of your choice available on this device ?
Then don't OK and on the windows GR-230, with the selection of the services,
I have anything, but
according to manual (manual page 12, chap 5.2 - 4 connect to SPP Slave),
I don't have any service "SPP
slave "?
Why, you would not have an idea? Is the code passkey 6268 good?
Why the service "SPP slave" not avaible with the Holux GR-230
bluetooth and my PDA Asus Mypal 620BT
?
My PDA Asus have bletooth com port in 7 and out 6.
And my Asus PDA don't know my GPS Holux .

I have a friend in France and it was the same configuration and it's ok
for his Asus 620BT with GR-230.

Thank you

Cadillac the button to confirm the passkey is the OK button in the top right hand - the same one you use to close a program (confuing I know).
