Can you get one (not off e-bay)? I have seen them but in a bundle with a load of other bits I would never use. I just want a mount for the vents. If anyone has one and uses it - do they work? And where can you get them?

Hi,

I've got an active Brodit mount for my One fitted in my Mondeo. It's stable as a rock, and brings the satnav close to hand. The Pro-clip fits around the vent controls so that everything remains accessible.

The only downside is that you can't remove the mount which has an edge which works like the barb on a fish hook. You can easily slide it into the gap between the vent and the dash, but once it snaps into place, it's well night impossible to get out. A knowledgeable scrote would recognise it as a sat nav mount. I leave a sunshade over the dash, even in winter, so it's not quite as obvious.

If I ever learn how to post pictures on this forum, I'll take a couple and let you see what it looks like.

When I first bought a Brodit mount, I bought a universal vent mount (unbranded) from HandNav. It can be removed, and I have moved it to a different car since I bought it. It cost about £10, and is still working fine after 3 years
