When my 2210 got nicked last year I bought an iPAQ 2490 with WM5 and reinstalled TTN5 and CheckPOInt. and have been extremely disappointed and beyond frustrated on how slow and flaky this set up is.

When I switch on the PDA and try to start CheckPOInt it often just hangs (truly - I have waited for up to 10 mins to see if it would start). So do a soft reset (I think I'll wear that button out :-) ) - and this can take in excess of 5 mins or more before anything works - and often the Windows Mobile splash screen just sits there and it takes a power up/down to wake it up. The click Checkpoint - wait - 3,4,5 mins - finally (if I am lucky) click Navigate - and then wait 2,3,4 minutes or more - and TTN is then ususally very slow 30 secs to respond to tap to get navigate option etc. Once it decides to get its finger out all seems hunky dory.

But then, frequently an hour or so into the journey, TTN starts hanging - screen doesn't update, recalculates toute in an endless cycle.

I've just about had enough and am thinking of other options. Would I be better off with one TT GO or to upgrade my PDA?

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

I have installed TTN and CP on the CF card (2GB Sandisk)
CheckPOInt 5.0.2.0
TTN version 5.210 (5430)
GPS driver v 1.20
No other apps running
PDA = iPAQ 2490
OS = Windows Mobile 5
HOLUX CR100 - cradle GPS
WiFi & Bluetooth disabled

Hi phinea
I have had the 2490 with TTN 5 and now TTN 6 and have never had this problem, the only difference being I didn't run checkpoint I just let the Liz Whittaker voices warn me of speedcams.
