Auto night mode not working?

A few weeks ago the auto night mode on my TT510 stoped working.
I can still change it myself but I found the auto handy.

Since the problem I have checked the connectors to the mount and
updated unit to latest software via TT site

Connect your unit to HOME.
Turn on Virtual TomTom. Make sure your unit is displayed in Day Mode. If it's not, I noticed it will cause the problem. Just switch to day mode and disconnect from HOME. reconnect your unit to the mount and switch it on to test.
