I would like to copy everything on my SD card to a faster SD card of the same size (1 Gb). What is the easiest way to do this please? Can I use the SD Card slot on my computer or is it imperative that I use my TomTom1 to do so? Please make the instructions as simple as possible because I am a bit thick when it comes to these things. ..Bingalau.. |

Mikealder. Thanks for prompt reply and sorry for the delay in answering yours. But I was having my evening meal. I had already made a back-up as recommended by TomTom. I assume this is now somewhere on my computer. Can I now just put my new faster card in to the card reader slot and download the backup to it, as in your last paragraphs. I will start looking for it now... Ah yes! there's a TomTom folder there which must be it. Do I just Copy and Paste now? ..Bingalau.. |

Use TomTom Home to recreate the files on the new card, just put the card in the reader fire up TomTom Home and tell it to restore back-up then insert the card to the device and it should simply work, otherwise you do have to copy/ paste the files/ folder from your hard drive on the PC to the new memory card (if you want to do the Windows Explorer method) - Mike |
