Hi
New to this but allready spent too many hours trying to get Tomtom safety cameras download to work on My V2 Tomtom one regional
I have sucsessfully downloaded pgps speed camera sites and set alerts :D all working ok..... but only after three days trying to get the tomtom Safety camera database to work?? I paid subscription of £20 to tomtom and then downloaded into tomtom home. Then I transfered using tomtom home to tomtom one. all OK.
Then whatever menu I navigated after that did not get camreas to show in route or on map... could not enable in poi as they did not show??? Has anybody any ideas??/
I am very happy with the download from this site (£2)but still wondering where I went wrong with original download from tomtom...is the database similar or am I missing something simple...
My apoligies if this is regular topic post . |

I think you perhaps have to click on menu item "Cameras" to get the TT ones activated. I can't be too sure - fortunately I don't use the TT ones. Maybe you could try asking Tom Tom?
You'll probably be sorry about subscribing to them though. That is a regular topic here. Unlike the PGPSW ones, you cannot configure the TT ones - e.g. distance to warn at and warning sounds. What's more, general opinion seems to be that the ones from here are not only more up to date, but also more comprehensive (e.g. mobile cameras). Your monthly subscription here allows you to download the camera database as often as you like during your membership month, and it's quite likely that there will be an update issued before your month (30? days, not calendar) runs out. _________________ Dennis

My apoligies if this is regular topic post . | The TomTom cameras are not POIs, as such, they are some sort of special case, so they don't show up! _________________ Jock

TomToms own cameras are accessed from the "Plus" menu, IIRC. |
