Whilst travelling over xmas I noticed several speed cameras reported on the M6 which don't exist. I assume that these were from extended roadworks or suchlike, and have now been relocated by the authorities.

What is the best way to transmit the info back to Pocket GPS so that the database can be amended?

If you're using CheckPOInt 2.0.2, press the hardware button you've configured to capture POIs, then press Remove False POI. Send the CheckPOInt.ov2 file to cameras@pocketgpsworld.com

If you're not driving on the road, find the cameras in map mode of TomTom Navigator, tap on them, and they'll display a number. Report the numbers of the removed cameras to cameras@pocketgpsworld.com

Mind some of the spurious cameras might be those little devils in white vans that frequent that spot to catch you . I have not removed some because I know that they are locations where White vans sit quietly and catch you unawares(but its all in the cause of safety isnt it) Laughing Out Loud

I have noticed on the latest speed camera database that there are several spurious ones on the M1 that also must throw back to roadworks that were on there 6-8 months ago. I'll report back what ones they are once I've trawled through them.

Also, I've found several cameras that are in the wrong place - I'm being pedantic I suppose, as you still get the warning, but when the camera is shown the other side of a junction to wher it really is, it might be a problem. Is this down to the innacuracy of 'domestic' type GPS or just shoddy inputmanship (a new word for your dictionaries there....)?

Both, it can sometimes be down to how many sats a person had when they recorded the camera, if they're on a low 3 or 4 sats, then it may think they were at the other side of the junction. The other issue is where people press the button to record a camera. Some people will press the button a good 500 yards before they reach the camera to give a little more warning, some will press it when they are passing the camera, and some will be fumbling around thinking "I need to record the camera" but do it l500 yards later.
