How do I load v9 maps to i3? HELP!!!

Hi,
I have an i3 with v8 mapping and software version 2.5. It is the one with the Transflash card.
I have just received my free upgrade to v9 maps.
I am happy to leave the software at version 2.5 as I have no problems with that.
I would prefer to leave my current card as it is, incase everything goes pear shaped.

I would be most grateful if some one could give me a step by step, idoits guide on how to get the maps to my i3.

There are instructions HERE.

You can put it on a new card via a card reader. 512MB takes most of Western Europe. 1GB card takes all of Western Europe and most of Eastern Europe. You'll need to copy the POI and Voice folders from your back-up of the original card.
